Our minds are dreaming us into existence, having us caught up in its fantasies and nightmares through thoughts, all of which revolve around a sense of “I”. Most of the time these thoughts permeate an endless “to do” list or for some, inadequacies, reeling them into its storm and fever dreams. Making one falsely believe that once those issues have been solved peace will come—the storm will stop. However, regardless of how careful one is it’s impossible to avoid some storms—fear, sadness, and anger—these emotions are part of our basic biological programming. Ironically, in our effort to protection ourselves from this agony, we create a life that naturally elicit it. It is only when we are not lost in the dream, focused on the present and not acting out the pattern of our conditioning that true happiness can flourish.
